bb.q Chicken in Schaumburg, IL
bb.q Chicken. A Korean fried chicken restaurant that was founded in 1995 in Seoul, South Korea by Yoon Hong-guen. Mr. Hong-guen had a passion for cooking, chicken, and flavor with a dream to deliver the best-tasting chicken worldwide. With several restaurants, all across the United States and probably more around the world, I believe he succeeded.
The chicken served in bb.q Chicken is not your average chicken you'll find anywhere. This restaurant delivers unique and creative flavors that will bring a burst of flavor and spice to your taste buds. What they did right was also offering traditional flavorful dishes like Ddeok-Bokki a classic Korean street food.
My favorite dish the restaurant offers is the Kimichi Fried Rice with Cheese. You can also order it without the cheese. The dish is created with the classic Kimichi base, which is perfected, with rice, chicken, vegetables, and a fried egg on top. It was absolutely amazing. A dish so amazing and a must-try if you plan on visiting. This dish is definitely one of those you can eat every day for lunch without getting tired of it.
We ordered two versions of the Kimichi fried rice. The first order was requested to leave out the chicken, and egg, and make it vegan. The employees were very happy to fulfill our request, which makes the service truly amazing and exceptional. The dish was very delicious. Normally, when we ask for custom dishes, it's just a watered-down version of the original recipe. However, bb.q Chicken chefs made this "Vegan-ised" dish truly flavorful.
Sorry, I completely forgot to take a picture of the “vegan-ized” Kimichi Fried Rice.
The Golden Original is marked as one of the favorites on the menu and rightly so. It’s crunchy and not at all dry. The chefs know how to cook the chicken right. Other places tend to serve dried out and crunchy chicken. Not a good thing. bb.q Chicken cooks it right. Crunchy and juicy.
The next dish I ordered was the Special Sauce Boneless Chicken Lunch. Six very delicious boneless chickens coated in a sweet and tangy sauce, an alternate version of the original Golden Original. The dish is sweeter, but not too sweet, unlike other restaurants. The special sauce has a bit of spice that gives it a unique flavor to the sweetness. It's a sauce you won't find anywhere else.
I would also like to mention the fries. Not many restaurants can get the fries, yes and this restaurant nails it perfectly. I love french fries and these are just great!
The restaurant is very clean and has a modern design. TVs mounted on the wall are playing Korean pop videos. The atmosphere is very open and welcoming.
